SynoDownloader
Yes, I’m very proud to present to you: SynoDownloader 1.0.
It has taken some three months of my very busy scheduled life, but finally, it has all the features I need.
SynoDownloader is a replacement for the Download Redirector application that is bundled with the Synology DiskStation and CubeStation. Since it’s lacking quite some features, I decided to create my own, better version, which enable you to use your DiskStation or CubeStation to it’s full potential.
Some of it’s features:
- Download Management
- Add URL from Clipboard
- Automatically download .torrent files
- Drop Zone
- Clipboard Monitor
- Site Manager (manage credentials per site)
- Search Engine
- FTP Browser
- RSS Feed Browser
Oh, and probably most important of all: it’s free!
Curious? Go to the SynoDownloader page to download.

Great program. torrents work very good.
Can I download files from rapidshare servers with synodownloader?(I use RS a lot and I have a rapidshare premium account)
And can I redownload already downloaded files? Can’t seem to do that in the download window when the file is sorted under ‘completed’.
tnx for the great work!

I have too do some research, for which I don’t have any time yet.
If rapidshare uses standard HTTP-authentication, you could use the Site Credentials in the Site Manager…

Great prog idd!! Especially the FTP browser!! There is one problem with the FTP site/files. I sometimes download from FTP sites with another port (not 21, but e.g. 2180). The browser works fine, but clicking the files twice will start the download but the port isn’t added in the download dir so they fail to download.
Also it would be nice if a complete directory can be selected for download, e.g. with the right button.
Futher I like the SynoDownloader! Huge advantage for me is that I can enter my Synology IP i.s.o. the original program that searches for synology devices. This because my synology is on another router on another subnet. For me it is a local network, but the synology download redirector doesn’t find the device so I always comes with an error. I had to change the registry to worl with the original one.

Grad,
SynoDownloader 1.0 is a great improvement, vn prog. Thx.
Question:
I have read the documentation, but i cann’t find out where i can add or change searchengines. Is it possible?
January 17th, 2008 at 5:56 pm
I’m afraid it isn’t possible… It’s quite complex to add a search engine.
But of course you can associate .torrent-files with SynoDownloader, and just search using your browser and open the torrents from there.

Great program. I just installd it and it works well! Is there any way of using SynoDownloader to automatically download podcasts. I was thinking that the RSS feature would work but I get this error: “RSS feed erer could not be updated: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Please check the url and availability of the service”.
Keep it up!

will you be bringing out a new version of SynoDownloader now it supports other BT features in the 2.0-0634 Beta firmware?

Thx for this application. Its great work. But I have a problem regarding site management:
Receiving an incoming link for rapidshare the site manager checks to see if there is a username password associated with the rapidshare, and if there is this information it modifies the download URL to: http://user:password@rapidshare.com/files/…..
However for rapidshare a link comes in the form http://rs178dt.rapidshare.com/files/xxxxxxxx/xx/xxxxxxxx.xxx
Thus,the correct URL would be
http://user:password@rs178dt.rapidshare.com/files/xxxxx/xx/xxxxxxxx.xxx
So every time I try to download something from rapidshare I only get a 5kb file or so.
Is there anything I can do about?
Thx

The payment situation is also conducive to spending more than you’d planned, because rather than seeing what you’ve bought all in one cart and, at the last minute, removing that one container of berries or piece of cheese that would really put things over the top, it’s only at the end of the trip, when you compare how much money you had on you with how much you’ve spent, that you get your total ‘receipt’ for the day. ,

If there were an article marketing point that I would want to be handed to every article marketer out there, let it be this one: begin using subscriber forms in your signature box.

In order for your articles or blog posts to be effective, you need to find that perfect balance between quality and quantity.
December 10th, 2010 at 6:46 am
Make full use of every article you post by embedding a tempting opt-in form inside your signature box. Include a high perceived value bribe and start building a huge subsciber lists to sell to on an ongoing basis.
